According to the Ohio department of job and family services, Washington County’s unemployment rate is 6.2%.

Washington County Ohio Means Jobs, is looking to lower that rate.

It is free and open to the public.

There will be live demonstrations on how to work the Ohio Means Jobs system.

Ohio Means Jobs is a full-fledged online career counseling center, providing a menu of career services for all Ohioans, and an abundance of resources for businesses looking to hire.

By connecting employers to individuals, can not only provide a quality job, but also a quality of life to thousands of Ohio families.

"You know when you are trying to write a resume yourself you are trying to think of all of your history everything that you've done,” says Lisa Goudy, Ohio Means Jobs worker.

“The resume writer that we have actually has a help tool in it where you put in what job title it is that you are looking for and it gives you a multitude of options to choose from. Choices from carpentry to retail, a lot of people don't realize the experiences they have," says Goudy.

Goudy adds that their job is to help every person that walks through their door succeed.

In short, whether you are looking for a job or looking to fill one, has the resources to help find the best fit for you
