Changes are coming for how some viewers watch WTAP.

For the last several months, WTAP has been working behind the scenes making federally-mandated changes to our tower.

On Monday, February 3,2020, those changes will be complete.

At 10:00 a.m. on Monday, WTAP will be changing channels for our over-the-air viewers.

All viewers could see a momentary loss of signal during the change-over.

Once the switch over is completed, to continue to watch WTAP over-the-air with an antenna you will have to re-scan your televisions.

You will just need to find the auto-scan in your television menu to reset your channels.

If you have any questions, call us at 304-485-6397 and we can help you.

Again, this only affects our viewers who use an antenna.

Our CBS station WIYE is now back on air after going through some federally-mandated changes.

Our CBS station WIYE will be off the air starting Sunday morning to make federally-mandated changes.

The plan is to have WIYE back on the air on Monday. WIYE will be signing off channel 47 on Sunday and signing back on to channel26.

If you watch WIYE over the air, you will need to rescan your television to find the station and watch.

This will not impact cable or satellite viewers.
