PARKERSBURG, W. Va. (WTAP) - The Parkersburg Art center's annual "Artist Tree" exhibit is back.
The exhibit allows people in the community to decorate a tree inspired by a famous artist and how they believe the artist would decorate the tree.
The public is welcome to visit the exhibit and vote with a monetary donation on which tree they think is the best. The tree with the most votes will get a people's choice award.
"I think a lot of times art is seen as if there's almost a barrier," said Michelle Waters, volunteer, Parkersburg Art Center. I think it's important that people know we all have the ability to create and take ownership in creating things."
Donations will go to the Parkersburg Art Center helping various programs.
The "Artist Tree" exhibit will be open until December 21st.
