Parkersburg City Council begins budgeting process

Parkersburg, WV (WTAP)-- Several routine matters were dealt with by Parkersburg City Council Tuesday evening.

First, Mayor Tom Joyce distributed his proposed budget for the city next year.

The document will be reviewed by City Council at their budgetary meeting next Thursday.

Next, a resolution allowing the temporary vending of beer and wine at specific downtown events was introduced.

These include the Point Park Concert Series, Bicentennial Park Concert Series, Taste of Parkersburg, Downtown Throwdown, Riverfest and Artoberfest.

And finally, an ordinance rezoning 18 recently annexed properties in the 19th, 20th and Wiloughby Drive area was introduced for first reading.
