Parkersburg Homecoming festivities kick off on Friday

PARKERSBURG W.Va (WTAP)- Opening Ceremonies for the Parkersburg Homecoming festivities were held at 6:00 on Friday evening.

The evening was be filled with entertainment on both the Main Stage and the Point Park Amphitheatre. There was a car show, venders were set up all down 2nd street, and carnival rides opened up at 6. Owners of the ride company say that they have a little something for everyone.

“Come on down. Bring the children so the children can have a good time and enjoy the festival. There’s a lot of other venders here with food and special item. Just come on down and enjoy the evening. After all, the attendance here- it’s free to get in and that’s a good family atmosphere. It doesn’t cost you anything to come," says Allen Myers, Proprietor of Myers Amusement LLC

Ride tickets are $1 a piece or you can opt for a $20 hand stamp where you can ride rides all day. The rides will stay open through rain so long as there is no lightening.
