Parkersburg man on parole arrested for illegally possessing firearm

PARKERSBURG, W. Va (WTAP)- A traffic stop in Parkersburg leads to the arrest of a person illegally possessing a firearm.

Shad Knight, 27, of Parkersburg was arrested on Monday when authorities found a firearm, bullets, and suspected methamphetamine that was believed to be in his possession during a traffic stop in the 1000 block of 29th Street.

Also in the car was a female passenger and a child.

Knight has a prior felony charge in Wood County from March of 2018 for possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine and was on parole at the time of the traffic stop.

He is currently being held in the North Central Regional Jail.
