Part of State Route 260 in Washington County to close for land slip repairs

WASHINGTON CO. Ohio (WTAP) - Part of Ohio State Route 260 in Washington County will be closed from February 19 to March 5, as crews repair several land slips there.

The Ohio Department of Transportation District 10 Office says the closure will be on State Route 260 between Brandyberry Road (Township Road 639) and State Route 26.

A contractor is currently working on an existing landslide at this location, with a single lane closure and temporary traffic signals in place.

However, recent rains have created additional land slip issues in that area, requiring a full road closure for repairs.

ODOT District 10 officials say on March 5, one lane of that section of State Route 260 will reopen for traffic, with temporary traffic signals put in place to guide drivers as work continues.
