Parkersburg Police are looking for a white car suspected in an apparent hit-and-run crash Monday morning on Murdoch Avenue.

Police say a white car was merging onto Murdoch Avenue from Ohio Avenue when it hit the side of a car driven by Virginia Province, 74, of Parkersburg.

Province's car, which was headed north on Murdoch, then went off the left side of the road and hit a utility pole.

Police say the only information they could gather from witnesses about the second car, which fled the scene, was that it was white.

Province was trapped inside her vehicle until first responders arrived.

She was taken to the Belpre Campus of Marietta Memorial Hospital, but police say her injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
