Police seize one kilo of heroin

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - The Parkersburg Narcotics Task Force and the Washington County Sheriffs Major Crimes Task Force team up to take down a drug trafficking organization distributing narcotics in Wood and Washington Counties.

On Friday September 13, 2019 search warrants were executed at three locations. Each search revealed drug and cash seizures as well as arrests of individuals involved in the DTO.

Agents and SWAT members from the Parkersburg Police Department, Wood County Sheriff’s Department and The Washington County Sheriff’s Department conducted the early morning raids located at 505 Roselynn Avenue, Parkersburg; 55 Center Street, Parkersburg; and 1855 Mt. Tom Road, Marietta.

Agents arrested Robert Lamar Bates-Porter 32, of Columbus Ohio and charged him with Possession of Heroin with the Intent to Deliver and Conspiracy to Distribute Heroin. Porter was arrested at the Roselynn Avenue residence after agents located one kilo of suspected heroin, a loaded handgun and other packaging associated with narcotics trafficking. Porter was arraigned in Wood County Magistrate Court in front of Magistrate Kuhl. A cash bond of $35,000.00 was set by Kuhl and Porter failed to post this bond. Porter remains incarcerated in the North Central Regional Jail. Agents with The Columbus Police Department searched the home of Porter and recovered a significant amount of Tar Heroin and Cocaine.

Also arrested from the Roselynn Avenue home was Audrey M. Thompson, 28. Thompson was charged with Conspiracy to Deliver Heroin. Thompson was taken to the Parkersburg police Department and processed. After being processed, she was taken to the Wood County Magistrate Court for arraignment and failed to post a cash bond of $25,000.00. She remains in custody at the North Central Regional Jail.

Brittany Morgan Carr was arrested after agents searched her residence located at 55 Center Street, Parkersburg. Agents charged Carr with three counts of Possession with the Intent to Distribute after locating crack cocaine, methamphetamine and heroin in her bedroom. Carr was processed at the Parkersburg Police Department and later arraigned at Wood County Magistrate Court. Carr failed to post a cash bond of $15,000.00 and was remanded to the North Central Regional Jail.

The Major Crimes Task Force, supported by the Ohio Organized Crime Investigation Commission, executed a warrant at 1855 Mt. Tom Road, Marietta. Agents arrested Trice Daniell, of Marietta for trafficking marijuana. Agents located a firearm along with two pounds of suspected marijuana inside the home. Daniell remains incarcerated in the Washington County Jail.
