Power outages linger across the Mid-Ohio Valley

WOOD COUNTY, W.Va. (WTAP) - UPDATE: 8/9/19 4:45 P.M.

Power outages from Thursday evening's storm continue to affect the Mid-Ohio Valley, with nearly 2,000 customers still without power as of 4:45 p.m., according to the websites for First Energy/Mon Power, AEP Ohio and the Washington Electric Cooperative.

Hundreds of residents are without power Thursday evening after a storm sweeps through the region.

There has been several reports of damage in the Mid-Ohio Valley as severe thunderstorms and flash flooding pass through the area.

WTAP has reporters out surveying the damage in the MOV. Wood County 911 says there has been several reports of power lines and trees down, as well as flooding in the roadways.
