MARIETTA, Ohio (WTAP) - The Rivers, Trails and Ales Festival took a ride into its third day on Saturday.
The day was filled with many more events. Children had a lot of fun on the family fun ride, and the adults were excited for the 15 breweries that came from all over the southeast Ohio region for beer fest.
Beer fest is one of the biggest events throughout the weekend.
"It's really important for a small craft breweries that are independent to be able to showcase their craft and to be able to showcase what they're doing and craft beer drinkers come from all over so they can see all beers from the state of Ohio that are here and to see all the great things that we are doing," said Harrison Cullery of Royal Docks Brewery.
The overall goal of the events are to get people outside to enjoy the city.
"We do it to have fun and get people out and active. We always like to remind folks that we show case things that you can do throughout the weekend and during the festival but you can do this all year long here in Marietta, Ohio. Hopefully those that come out to visit us they can come back and enjoy it and our locals alike they can enjoy it any day they're around," said Eric Dowler, director of the Rivers, Trails and Ales Festival.
