UPDATE: 7/14/19 6:45 P.M.

One person is dead after a rollover accident on Interstate 77 on Saturday evening.

The Wood County Sheriff’s office says that person has been identified as 62 year old Michael Ludwig of Washington West Virginia.

Ludwig was driving a 2018 Hyundai Tucson on 77 South when he entered the median, crossed over both northbound lanes, and hit an embankment near mile marker 164, a few miles south of Mineral Wells just before 7:30 Saturday evening.

Law enforcement says the wreck caused a partial ejection because Ludwig was not wearing a seat belt.
