Salvation Army Angel Tree gifts due back Friday December 7

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - Christmas is hard for those who can't afford to give gifts to their children, but the Salvation Army Angel Tree program is in full swing, aiming to bring Christmas to hundreds of kids in need.

You can buy for a child this Christmas by picking up a tag off one of the Angel Trees around town. If you've already picked your angels, all gifts are due back to the Salvation Army by Friday, or Monday at the very latest.

Organizers say they've already received several gifts

“Just continue to give, to donate. If you see one of those angels hanging on the trees, get one of them, shop for them and get it back to us as soon as possible. A lot of kids are looking for LOL dolls. They're looking for games they're looking for Lego stuff. Boys are all about the nurf guns and remote control cars. If someone needs a coat or a pair of shoes, it’s pretty easy.”
