WOOD COUNTY, W.Va.-(WTAP) Henderson Wilds frequently hosts workshops explaining to the public what to do, if faced with a "self-defense" situation.
One of those workshops is set for this Saturday afternoon.
It features a criminal defense attorney, Todd La Neve, who will explain the "Castle" law and similar laws of self-defense.
While it is, in part, a result of the recent mass shooting incidents, a store representative tells us it is not about taking the law into your own hands.
"The police are well-equipped," says Operations Manager Bill Carroll. "(The incidents) are happening so frequently, and at odd places, more than they have ever happened in the past. The police are doing their jobs, and we're not advocating replacing the police at all."
The workshop begins at 2 P.M. Saturday at Henderson Wilds on route 14 near Williamstown. Registration details are on the store's Facebook page.
