UPDATE: Lockdown lifted at Charleston hospital, police looking for two shooters

Charleston Police are looking for two men involved in a shooting that wounded a man six times and briefly put Charleston Area Medical Center on lockdown Monday night.

The shooting happened on the city's east end just after 11 p.m. Monday.

The victim, LaChance Woodson, 30, is in critical condition. Police say he was shot about six times in the legs and upper torso.

Police say it appears that Woodson was planning to meet someone in the parking lot adjacent to Laidley Field, where the shooting occured.

According to police, two men starting shooting at Woodson after he was dropped off. The woman who dropped him off was still in the area at the time of the shooting and took him to the hospital.

No arrests have been made.

CAMC has lifted a lockdown after a shooting victim was brought to the ER by a witness Monday night.

Charleston Police say the victim, LaChance Woodson, was shot about six times. He was taken to CAMC by a witness. The shooting happened in a parking lot near Laidley Field just after 11 p.m.

Woodson is in critical condition.

No arrests have been made.

A shooting prompted a Charleston area hospital to go on lockdown late Monday night and left a man with multiple gunshot wounds, police say.

Officers with the Charleston Police Department are on the scene of the shooting near Laidley Field on the city's East End.

Police say a man was shot multiple times and was taken to an area hospital just after 11 p.m. A woman called 911 on the way to the hospital to say the man had been shot.

According to our crew on the scene, blood and bullet casings have been found in the West Virginia State Capitol Complex parking lot across from Laidley Field.
