MARIETTA, Ohio (WTAP) - Saint Mary Catholic School held its 5th annual Fall Back 5K run-walk at Muskingum Park to raise money for the boosters at the school.
The boosters are responsible for raising money for the sports teams such as buying uniforms, balls or other equipment the teams needs.
The run also sponsors a local "sister" charity, this year's charity is Eve, a shelter for domestic abuse in Marietta.
"The community is very supportive so its great. We also have quite a few schools that have participation as well. So its really nice we've got a good balance of our families and the community," said Egan, treasurer of boosters club.
Participants donated household and personal items needed for the shelter.
The boosters are hoping to raise at least $5000.
If you are interested in donating, please mail a check to St. Mary Catholic School 5K Run-Walk.
