Strong wind causes power outages across the region

PARKERSBURG, W. Va. (WTAP) - Gusting up to 51 mph the strong winds that moved through Tuesday into Wednesday caused many issues in the region.
According to first energy over 13,000 customers lost power in West Virginia with around 5,000 of those being in Parkersburg alone and around 23,000 Ohio customers lost power according to AEP Ohio with 2400 of those being in the Mid-Ohio Valley.
The winds also cause localized damage on Blennerhassett road where a car port was pulled from the ground.
