WATERFORD, Oh. (WTAP) - Students at Waterford Elementary that are part of the Special-Ed. classes hosted a Christmas party for family, friends, and faculty on Thursday.
The students had been planning the party since before Thanksgiving, deciding on the theme, food, and even budgeting for the event.
“I think that the students are proud of everything they’ve done, they’ve been really excited for weeks, but I think overall it was a really good success.”
Students also assisted in the cooking of all the food this morning which consisted of eggs, sausage, pancakes, and toast.
We talked to one student who told us her favorite part of setting up for this morning’s party.
“Decorating, putting the bells on the tables, and the plates, and the forks.”
The teachers say the party, while fun, was a great opportunity for students to practice useful life skills.
