Stuffed animals collected for annual WMOA Christmas Zoo
For the 30th straight year, WMOA Radio is sponsoring the annual Christmas Zoo at Workingman's Store in Marietta.
Stuffed animals are donated, and are then given to local children in need.
The event has grown each year, and the donations are now at an average of 1,000 per year.
As the donations continue to increase over the years, it touches the hearts of WMOA every year.
"It means everything to me," said Ben Marshall, Program Director for WMOA Radio. "this is one of my favorite things I get to do as a member of WMOA Radio is be a part of this WMOA Christmas Zoo. Growing up I was extremely fond of my own stuffed animals, so it means a lot to be able to help a program where less fortunate kids get a stuffed animal of their own."
Anyone that still wants to donate stuffed animals can do so at Workingman's Store in Marietta until December 22.
