3 people hurt in crash on Route 95 and Rayon Drive

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) Three people were taken to the hospital Thursday afternoon following a three-vehicle crash at Route 95 and Rayon Drive in south Parkersburg.

Parkersburg Police said Brianna Shelton, 22, of Davisville, and two passengers in her Mitsubishi Outlander, Elizabeth Vaughan, 42, and a 2-year-old boy, were treated and released at WVU Medicine Camden Clark Hospital after the crash, which happened about 4 p.m.

Police Chief Joseph Martin said Stephanie DeBerry, 50, of Mineral Wells, was driving a Ford Explorer that ran a red light while driving east on Route 95. Her SUV hit Shelton’s vehicle, which then hit a Chrysler Town and Country minivan driven by Melissa Nesselrotte, 45, of Parkersburg.

Neither DeBerry nor Nesselrotte were injured, police said.

Martin said he expects DeBerry to be cited in the crash, which remains under investigation.
