PARKERSBURG, W.Va., (WTAP)- UPDATE 8/9/19 2:18 A.M.:

A Wood County 911 supervisor confirms that Murdoch Avenue and Emerson Avenue are both back open this morning after being closed due to downed power lines and fallen trees.

Firefighters were called to the Texas Roadhouse restaurant late Thursday afternoon for the second time this week to put out a small fire caused by a downed power line.

The restaurant re-opened Wednesday following a grease fire on Monday.

Restaurant workers were getting ready to set up for some live entertainment when a strong thunderstorm hit the area, causing a tree to fall on the power line.

"The tree actually fell while traffic was coming by, and the power lines actually caught the tree then blew the transformer and then the transformer when it blew," said Christopher Carlson, the restaurant's managing partner. "It blew some wires, and the wires caught the other pole on fire. The tree is still suspended, but it was a scary situation here."

There were no injuries reported.
