PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - UPDATE: 12/27/2018, 7:13 p.m.

The Wood County 911 Center confirms all lanes of the 4-lane Parkersburg-Belpre Bridge reopened late Thursday evening, after 2 separate crashes had temporarily closed the bridge.

According to Belpre Police, a 2-vehicle crash injured one person on the Belpre side of the 4-lane Parkersburg-Belpre Bridge, which crosses the Ohio River between 5th Street in Parkersburg and the intersection of Route 618 and Main Street in Belpre.

Wood County 911 officials say at approximately the same time, a separate 2-vehicle crash happened on the Parkersburg side of the bridge, but no one was hurt in that crash.

Deputies on scene temporarily closed all lanes of the bridge to allow emergency crews enough space to safely clear both crash scenes.

Authorities have not yet released the names of the people involved in the crashes, or the condition of the person who was injured.

Investigators are still determining what caused each crash.
