The Ohio West Virginia Umpires Association is looking for umpires for the upcoming high school baseball season.

Starting on January the 27th, umpire classes will be held in the Hall of Fame Room at Parkersburg High School. The courses are free of charge and the will last 5 or 6 weeks and officiating games will be paid positions.

Organizers say umpiring is an exciting way to help out and stay close to the game.

“If you enjoy the game and you want to be a part of it, I can’t think of a better way to get involved than to come out here and be an official,” explains Rex Foster, President of the Ohio West Virginia Umpire’s Association
