In Vienna's City Council meeting Thursday, a resolution was proposed to abolish their non-partisan election.

The resolution passed unanimously.

Council has the authority to drop the primary if there are less than fifteen candidates for city council and three for recorder.

There are eleven people running for city council, two for recorder, and current mayor Randall Rapp, is running for re-election unopposed.
