VIENNA, WV (WTAP)--- Vienna City Council looked toward the future in Thursday evening's regular meeting.
Council heard a presentation by Linda Kern on the need for a Senior Adult Playground in Jackson Park.
Kern pointed to the success and popularity of a similar facility in Marietta near the Valley Gem.
She says Vienna has an ideal location with parking, bathrooms and access to a walking path.
Councilman Jim Leach presented a video on the Johns Mansville clean-up project and how well it's been going.
Council also discussed the viability of acquiring a boat ramp at 12th Street and the many roadblocks to that action.
And much of the discussion revolved around problems with the 43-year-old Police Fee and what options council could take to resolve the senior discount issue.
