PARKERSBURG, W. Va. (WTAP) - WVU Medicine Camden Clark was thrilled to hosts its art display reception.
The hospital collaborated with the Parkersburg Art Center to sponsor an art contest for high school students throughout the area.
The art chosen is now displayed in the hallway of the Advanced Care Unit at the hospital. It brings color to the walls and gives patients and families a break to uplift their spirits.
"It brings people happiness and an empty hallway, a lot more light," said Smith, Parkersburg South senior.
The students were excited to display their creativity.
"Art always help the viewer take their mind off of what's going on in reality around them and its always great to look at creativity and the way that other people view the world," said Burge, art teacher, Parkersburg South.
The hospital staff says, the reception has been great.
