PARKERSBURG, W. Va. WVU Medicine Camden Clark hosts its annual Women's Heart Luncheon at the Parkersburg Art Center.
Many women wore red and were happy to come together to learn more about heart health.
Two women treated for heart problems at the hospital shared their experiences.
Nancy Stanley has four stents in her heart due to atrial fibrillation.
"It's where your heart goes crazy, it beats hard, and then I get chest pain up my neck and in my jaws," said Stanley, heart patient.
Stanley says, Camden Clark saved her life.
Trish Moore is another heart patient who is speaking at the luncheon and she had a heart attack just 6 weeks ago.
"It started with back pain with me. Thank God I went and got checked out like 4 days later. When in doubt, get checked out; that's basically what you need to do," said Moore, heart patient.
Moore says, she quit smoking and started eating better which is helping her live a much healthier lifestyle.
Proceeds from the luncheon will benefit the heart walk scheduled for this fall.
