WVUP holds staff pep rally to kick off spring semester

PARKERSBURG W. Va, (WTAP)- The staff gathered in the College Activities Center for development and team building activities.

President Gilmer addressed the more than 300 staff and faculty members and led them in group activities.

The school views this event as a way to trade ideas, foster innovation, and find better way to reach their students.

Event organizers say that their ultimate goal is to give students the best education possible.

“We work on team building; we work on skills that we want to use throughout the semester so that we can demonstrate an atmosphere of belonging for students and also fun and that we work on our education and we want to do the latest things we can possibly do for people to get a good education here,” says Chad Crumbaker, Vice President of Academic and student affairs.

Organizers say that it is rare to get all staff together in one area, so this week is optimal for developing team building skills.
