UPDATE: Water main break in Reno fixed

The water is now back on. There is a 72-hour boil advisory.


UPDATE - 8/1/2019 7:22 p.m.

Water back on in Reno. If water was completely shut off. There is a 72 hour boil advisory.


The Reno Water and Sewer district announced that there has been a water main break that is affecting 800 customers in the area.

Repairs to fix the break are underway and they hope to be completed by 5 p.m. The affected areas include:

- Mt. Tom Road
- County House Lane
- Goose Run Road
- Lynch Church Road
- Long Road
- Long Run Road
- Moore Road
- Bells Run Road
- Jett Hill Road
- Sheets Run Road
- Zion Ridge Road
- Wright's Road
- Bae Circle
- Berry Lane
- Caywood Road
- Greene Street
- State Route 26
- Mt. Tom Pines
- Woodland Acres
- County Road 9
- Handschumacher Road

Those areas that have lost water are under a 72 hour boil advisory, while some areas may not lose water at all.
