West Virginia Symphony Orchestra- Parkesburg opens 31st season

PARKERSBURG W.VA, (WTAP)- The West Virginia Symphony Orchestra- Parkesburg began its 31st season with a performance at the Belnnerhassett school auditorium on Sunday afternoon.

Established in 1988, the orchestras’ purpose is to bring West Virginia Symphony Orchestra concerts to the Mid-Ohio Valley.

The original name for the group was the Mid-Ohio Valley Symphony Society, but it was changed to the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra- Parkesburg to better reflect who they were.

Sunday’s performance was the first of five scheduled concerts for the season.
