PARKERSBURG, W. Va. While many were rallying in support of President Trump, Saturday, candidate for governor of West Virginia, Woody Thrasher made an appearance.
Thrasher was shaking the hands of people in the community.
The Republican candidate for governor says, he came to Wood County to do a variety of things, but meeting community members was most important.
"West Virginia needs a good conservative leadership that adheres to the Republican party platform and can bring economic recovery to the state of West Virginia which it so desperately needs," said Woody Thrasher, candidate for governor.
Thrasher says, he knocked on over 400 doors while in Parkersburg.
