Williamstown High School to raise funds for new track

WILLIAMSTOWN, W. Va. Williamstown High School's track is condemned and the school is raising money for a new track.

The high school received funding from the board of education to rebuild a new track, but it still does not have enough money to fix it. The school is looking to raise $80,000.

In the last 10 years, the program has had much success including 8 state titles, 3 runner-ups, 13 conference titles, and over 15 kids compete at the collegiate level.

The school is unable to have track meets at the school and has to designate certain areas to run on during practice for safety.

The school will have a Designer Purse Bingo fundraiser on April 4th and is accepting new designer purses.

Williamstown High School also has a "Go Fund Me" page organized by Adam Raper and the school is selling "Williamstown High Track & Field Alumni" t-shirts for $20.

All proceeds will go to the rebuilding of the track.
