MARIETTA OH, (WTAP)- The program is for Ohio residents to provide heat to those in emergency situations. Applicants need an appointment with the Washington-Morgan Counties Community Action to apply for the income based program.
This program is a designed for those who are threatened with disconnection, have already had their service disconnected, or are running low on heating resources.
“It’s just a great program that we see that so many people are so thankful because circumstances change every year. So, some people we see that are new. Some people, that’s what they rely on every single year. So, you definitely get this sense of pride to help somebody every day,” notes Brandee Nau, the Community Services Manager with Washington-Morgan Counties Community Action.
From November to February, the group has already completed over 1,100 applications between Washington and Morgan counties.
March 29th is the last day for individuals to apply for the program.
