Woman and young daughter hurt after their car crashes and lands in creek

MINERAL WELLS, W.Va. (WTAP) - Deputies say a woman and her young daughter were hurt in a car crash on 3495 Elizabeth Pike in Mineral Wells.

Deputies say a woman named Lauren Poling lost control of her car while driving to her stepmother's house to drop off her daughter. This was Tuesday afternoon around 4 p.m.

She told deputies she had a mechanical issue with her car. Her car went across the center line, flipped in the air, hit an embankment and landed in a creek.

She was taken by ambulance to Camden Clark Medical Center. Her daughter was flown by helicopter. It's believed they do not have life-threatening injuries.
