Woman injured in fire in Pleasants County

PLEASANTS COUNTY, W.Va. (WTAP) - Authorities say a woman was flown to a Pennsylvania burn hospital after a fire in Pleasants County on Tuesday afternoon.

The fire on Middle Island Creek Road happened about 4 p.m.

The 41-year-old woman, who has not been identified by authorities, was flown to the West Penn Burn Center in Pittsburgh, but there's no information available on the extent on her injuries.

Steve Knight, director of Pleasants County Office of Emergency Services, said firefighters from St. Marys, Belmont and Newport, Ohio, responded to the fire.
