The West Virginia Division of Highways announced that Wood County Route 1, Waverly Road, will be closed on Aug. 7, due to a culvert replacement.
The culvert work will begin 2.4 miles from the intersection of Route 14 in Williamstown, at milepost 4.77. The roadway will be closed to all traffic. Crews will be working between 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. During this time, motorists are asked to find alternate routes.
Inclement weather and other unforeseen circumstances may alter the work schedule.
