UPDATE: Man charged with malicious wounding after Wood County shooting incident

Authorities have made an arrest after shooting incident in Wood County on Wednesday.
Vincent Cross, 29, of Parkersburg has been charged with malicious wounding after a shooting incident at a home on Hyview Drive in Washington.
The criminal complaint says that Cross and the victim had an argument at the victim’s home Wednesday afternoon when authorities say multiple shots were fired by cross, striking the victim at least once in the neck.
The complaint continues on to say that the victim used his truck to hit Cross’ car as he was trying to leave.
On Wednesday, Wood County Sheriff Steve Stephens said the victim was responsive and able to talk to first responders before he was taken by ambulance to WVU medicine Camden Clark.
Cross is being held in the North Central Regional Jail on a $300,000 bond.

A man was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound after an incident Wednesday afternoon in rural Wood County, authorities said.
It happened about 1 p.m. at a residence on Hy View Drive in Washington,
According to Wood County Sheriff Steve Stephens, the man was responsive and able to talk to first responders before he was taken by ambulance to WVU Medicine Camden Clark.
Authorities have not released the victim's name or any information about a possible suspect, though Stephens said there was
no suspect at the scene when deputies arrived.
The shooting remains under investigation.

Wood County authorities are responding to a report of a shooting on Hy View Drive in Washington, West Virginia.
It happened about 12:45 p.m., and a Wood County 911 dispatch supervisor said authorities are actively investigating a report that at least one person has been wounded in a shooting.
No other other information is available.
