Claudette Constance (Connie) Kalinowski, 76, beloved wife, mother and sister passed away at the Hubbard Hospice House within the Thomas Memorial Hospital in South Charleston on March 23, 2020.
She was born in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, on December 16, 1943, and was the daughter of the late William Novotny and Mary Novotny.
During her life, she conscientiously worked many years as a homemaker, beautician, nurse’s aid, and finally retired as a hospital worker in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She enjoyed her retirement years living on the Southside of Parkersburg. She was a member of the Seventh St. United Methodist Church and enjoyed hearing God’s word and seeing all the smiling faces of the attendees.
She loved flowers (her roses), gardening, painting, sewing, bird watching, nature, and especially spoiling her cherished cats. She was a guardian angel for all animals large and small with the most tender-hearted devotion. Her spirit was most alive with God’s creatures. “All things bright and beautiful, all creatures great and small, all things wise and wonderful, the Lord God made them all”.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Frederick P. Kalinowski, and her children Barbara L. Ross, Michael T. Kalinowski, and son-in -law Anthony V. Ross. Also, surviving are her loving sister Barbara Hitchen , loving brother Ronald Novotny and two half brothers John Novotny (Jack) and William (Bill) Novotny. Also, many other extended family who hold a place in her tender, loving heart.
Because of the current health concerns, Claudette’s celebration of life will be announced at a later time. The best way to honor and remember her spirit is by making a donation to the local animal shelter or by planting a tree in her memory. She will be smiling down with gracious gratitude. “God’s love and kindness will shine upon us like the sun that rises in the sky”. Luke 1:78
