Meatless Savory Herb Chicken


  • 1 Julianne onion
  • 1 Julianne green pepper
  • 3-4 garlic cloves
  • 1 diced tomato
  • 4 oz. water
  • 2 whole wheat pitas
  • 1 lb. meatless chicken

  • Directions

    1. In medium skillet add green peppers, onions, garlic, water, salt and pepper. Sweat vegetables over medium heat for 2-3 minutes.

    2. Add meatless chicken, and sauté for up to 2 minutes or until hot.

    3. Cut pita in half forming a pocket.

    4. Spread mayonnaise on inside of pocket and stuff with wild greens (Spring Mix), meatless chicken and vegetables.

    Chefs Tips:

  • This is great accompanied by a hot bowl of tomato soup.
  • Gardenburger has many great products such as meatballs, and for breakfast pitas sausage, bacon, and also eggs that are Ornish friendly.
