PARKERSBURG, W. Va. (WTAP)- Several area wrestlers have been competing on a national stage the last few days and national titles are in reach for a few.
At the 29th annual National High School Coaches Association Wrestling Nationals in Virginia, Parkersburg High sophomore John Martin Best won in a 3-2 decision over Francis Morrissey of Georgia.
Martin Best will wrestle in Sunday's finals for a national title.
Fellow teammate senior Stephen Carder will battle for a fifth place finish in the country.
Parkersburg South junior heavyweight Louden Haga had his way in the semifinals by pinning Montana's Levi Malcolm in 1:24. He will compete in the finals on Sunday.
