Parkersburg, WV (WTAP SPORTS)-Brenton Strange will become the latest Parkersburg High School Football player to play major college football
Strange has made a verbal commitment to play for the Penn State Nittany Lions.
He chose the Big Ten school over Notre Dame, Ohio State and other offers.
The Nittany Lions are getting a multi-talented athlete in Strange
He was First Team All State in Class AAA a year ago. He's a playmaker both offensively and defensively.
Offense will be his focus at Penn State .
At 6 foot 5 with speed and a great set of hands, Strange has been a record setting receiver for the Big Reds. But on the college level he'll transition into the tight end position.
Strange will become the third PHS player to sign with Penn State since the late 1990's. He'll follow in the footsteps of Scott Davis and Brad Johnson.
Strange will make his commitment official in December in the NCAA's early signing day.
