Browns leads WVU Coaches Caravan to town.
- Parkersburg was the center of the West Virginia University athletic department universe on Wednesday evening.
The Mountaineer Coaches Caravan made it's annual stop at J.P. Henry's. Ant it was greeted by a full house of fans and supporters of the Blue and Gold.
Athletic Director, and Parkersburg's own, Shane Lyons was on hand. But the star attraction of the evening was new Mountaineer football coach Neal Brown who made his first appearance in the Mid Ohio Valley.
Brown is excited to meet WVU fans in all sections of the state.
"The fan base here is all pulling for the state of West Virginia and that is something that we don't take for granted. That is something we are trying to do during this coaching caravan not only here in Parkersburg but also in Martinsburg last night, on Monday night we were in Wheeling. We continue in a couple weeks being in the southern part of the state."
The event raises money for the Mountaineer Athletic Club, which funds the scholarships for WVU student athletes.
