A former Parkersburg South track athlete will be running on the college level, and that athlete is Cameron Gill.
Gill graduated just this past year and decided that he would continue his career at West Virginia Wesleyan University, a division two school.
Gill plans on running the 400 hurdles while at Wesleyan and doesn't know where he would be without the support of his friends, family, teammates, and coaches.
"I'm so thankful, especially the people who are here with me today, my shuttle team and everybody who has gotten me here, but the main one that I have to give credit to is my coach from middle school, he taught me how to hurdle, he passed away last year, coach Martin. He is the main reason why I’m still doing this."
