WTAP SPORTS- Week 10 of the high school football season brings the final Friday of the regular season in the Buckeye State and the penultimate Friday in the Mountain State.
In a matchup of 2 Class A powerhouses. second ranked Doddridge Country kept it's ran it's record to a perfect 9-0 with a 20-7 victory over third ranked Williamstown. The Bulldogs improve to 9-0, while the Yellowjackets finish the regular season at 8-2.
Parkersburg South's run at perfection came to an end in Wheeling. The Patriots of Wheeling Park down the Patriots of Parkersburg South 35-27. Parkersburg South is 8-1 on the season.
Parkersburg High's home field winning streak came to an end. The Big Reds fall to Huntington 44-13
In the Buckeye State, The Fort Frye Cadets run the table on their second straight perfect regular season. The Cadets go on the road and roll over Magnolia 69-8. Fort Frye is 10-0 and waits to see who they'll host in the opening round of the playoffs next week.
In an all Washington County clash. The Waterford Wildcats down TVC rival Belpre 26-16
The Marietta Tigers fall at home against Zanesville 52-28
John Marshall comes to Vincent and downs the Warren Warriors 34-17. The Warriors, under first year coach Matt Kimes ,finish up a successful season at 6-4
The River Pilots spoiled the Frontier Cougars Senior night with a 48-12
