- The high school football playoffs kicked off on Friday night in West Virginia and continued in Ohio .

7 teams from our region hit the field looking to take their game to the next level.

Parkersburg High knocks off Wheeling Park on the Patriots home field. Kionte Peacock returned a kickoff 87 yards for the game winning touchdown in the 4th quarter. As the Big Reds stun Park 28-21

Parkersburg Catholic loses it’s Class A opener at Sherman 44-8

The Crusaders finish up their year at 9-2

The Fort Frye Cadets won their Ohio Div. VI Region 23 Semifinal matchup with Northmor. The Cadets cruised to a 41-22 victory. They improve to 11-0 and advance to next Friday’s Regional Finals against Shadyside at Meadowbrook High School.

Back to the Mountain State. The 4th seeded Doddridge County Bulldogs won their first test in the Class A playoffs. The Bull Dogs roll over Webster County 40-14 to improve to 11-0 on the season.

Ritchie County falls on the road at Mount View 34-14

While Tyler Consolidated fell victim to defending champion, and top seeded, Wheeling Central.
