- Week number 6 of the high school football had post season style matchups with playoff contenders going head to head.

In battle of small school powers from Ohio and West Virginia, The Fort Frye Cadets dominated defending Class A state champion Wheeling Central 42-0

In a West Virginia Class AAA showdown in Huntington, third ranked Parkersburg South handled the sixth ranked Highlanders 30-21 With the win the Patriots are now 6-0 on the season.

Closer to home, 8th ranked St. Marys hosted 7th ranked Williamstown in a Class A showdown. The Yellowjackets win this battle 35-0 for their 5th win in a row.

Across the Ohio River in New Matamoras, The Parkersburg Catholic Crusaders knock off previously unbeaten Frontier 36-33

The Marietta Tigers fall on the road at Cambridge. The Bobcats win this cat fight 42-20

The Warren Warriors defeat the Barnesville Shamrocks 34-13

The Belpre Golden Eagles win on the road at Federal Hocking 42-12

The Trimble Tomcats down the Waterford Wildcats 37-0
