WTAPI SPORTS- Week number 8 of the high school football is in the books and local teams were looking to continue their winning trends.

The Parkersburg South Patriots ran their record to a perfect 7-0 with a 35-28 victory on the road at Morgantown.

The Parkersburg High Big Reds get back on track with a 42-28 victory over Hurricane.

The Williamstown Yellowjackets winning streak improved to 7 in a row on the road at Tyler Consolidated. The Yellowjackets beat the Silver Knights 46-28

The top ranked Fort Frye Cadets ran their season long winning streak to 8 in a row. The Cadets defeated the Caldwell Redskins 58-7

New Philadelphia came to Marietta and downed the Tigers 49-14
The Waterford Wildcats whip up a 42-12 win over the Southern Tornados

The Frontier Cougars run their record to 7-1 with a win 53-0 win on the road at Valley Wetzel.

Back in the Mountain State, Class A powerhouse Doddridge County remains unbeaten with a 31-0 win on the road at Ravenswood

The St. Marys Blue Devils win at home over Magnolia 40-6

Ritchie County defeats Webster 62-34 as the Rebels run their record to 6-1.
