- The 52nd edition of the city Parkersburg's football Crosstown Showdown goes to Parkersburg High. The 10th ranked Big Reds defeated 5th ranked Parkersburg South 28-10. Shane Miller scored 2 second half touchdowns, and the Big Reds held the high powered Patriot offense to a field goal. The Big Reds finish the regular season at 6-4, and the Patriots are 7-3. Both teams are headed to the playoffs next week.

The Fort Frye Cadets passed their first post season test in the Ohio Div. VI Region 23 playoffs. The Cadets downed Fairbanks 34-14 in Beverly. Tate Engle and Brady Shilling hooked up on 2 touchdown connections and Brian Adkins scored a pair of touchdowns as well

Fort Frye improves to a perfect 10-0 on the season and advances to next week's regional semifinals

The Doddridge County Bulldogs ran the table on a perfect 10-0 regular season. The Bulldogs handled Tygarts Valley 62-0.

The annual football battle of Jackson County goes to Ripley. The Vikings vanquish the Red Devils 41-7

Ritchie County wins on Senior Night. The Rebels roll over Calhoun County 50-30

Tyler County is also a winner at home on the final Friday of the regular season. The Silver Knights down the St. Marys Blue Devils 26-8
