PARKERSBURG, W.VA-WTAP-A Parkersburg High senior is converting success on the lanes into a college scholarship.
Several local bowlers competed in the Junior Gold Bowling Tournament in Cleveland, Ohio.
Lakyn Edwards is headed to indiana Tech to bowl for a national powerhouse on the N.A.I.A. level.
Lakyn had her signing ceremony Thursday afternoon at the PHS field house with family, coaches and friends looking on.
She's been bowling since the age of 10, and as a twelve year old, she became the youngest Mountain State bowler to roll a perfect 300 game.
While at Parkersburg High, she was part of a state championship winning effort and has won 2 individual state championships as well.
She credits her coach for her growth as a bowler, and now she's ready to take her skills to the collegiate level at Indiana Tech in Fort Wayne Indiana.
