Marie Discini decides on St. Francis

PARKERSBURG, W.VA.- Parkersburg Catholic senior Marie Discini has accepted a tennis scholarship offer from St. Francis University in Loretto, Pa.

She'll be competing on the NCAA Division level for coach Lisa Sope and the Red Flash. Marie, chose St. Francis over 4 or 5 schools.

St. Francis will be getting a good one. Discini is the 3 time reigning champion at the #1 singles in West Virginia Class A. This past May she helped lead the Crusaders to the Class A girls state championship.

She is coached on the high school level by her father Jason Discini, and Marie credits her personal coach Steve Gunderson for the development of her game.

Discini will sign here letter of intent officially accepting the scholarship offer on NCAA signing day in November.
